Over 38000 students of Tripura to appear NAS on Nov 12

Agartala, Nov 7 (UNI) Over 38000 pupils of Tripura studying in Class III, V, VIII and X, enrolled across 898 government run schools would participate National Achievement Survey (NAS) on Nov 12 next to conducted by Ministry of Human Resource Development to assess the system level reflection on effectiveness of school education.
The NAS is conducted in every three years to assess the learning level of the students and last survey was held in 2017 but it was delayed for a year due to Covid pandemic, said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath here today and added the students of 1,24,000 schools across 733 districts of 36 states would take part.
He argued that the conventional education in the schools through physical classes was hampered for long days in the last one and half years. Although online and neighbourhood classes by the teachers had been conducted randomly to cover up the loss and to motivate the students, this NAS will emphasize on the learning stage in Covid situation.
