CM BIplab Deb inaugurated eco-friendly sustainable IGDC project of Rs 280 cr

Ambassa (Tripura), Nov 13 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated 280 crore rupees Indo German development Corporation (IGDC) project for the preservation of nature and ensuring a sustainable livelihood at local Chanadrai Para Class XII School ground in the Dhalai district here this afternoon.
The project entitled Creflat would ensure sustainable livelihood to 1,30,000 people distributed over all the 8 blocks of the district and three blocks of North Tripura district directly whereas 78,000 people would be benefited indirectly. Forestation of timber and bamboo, as well as the preservation of soil and forest resources, construction of check dams, the formation of aquatic and riverine corridors, development of clusters and promotion of products into markets, are some of the key objectives of this project.
In his inaugural speech, the Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb remarked, "The main aim is to protect, preserve and nourish the environment. And hence the project is internationally accredited. The increase of oxygen level in the atmosphere, reduction in soil erosion and natural calamities means a benefit for all. And it is the benefit of the project and it is for all to the tune of our Prime Minister's slogan of 'Savka Sath Savka Bikash Savka Biswas".
