Abhishek slams BJP; Congress MLA from Sagardighi Bayron Biswas joins TMC

Kolkata, May 29 (UNI) Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Monday came down heavily on the BJP, saying, " Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari's
corrupt practices are known to the world but the CBI has turned a blind eye to them. "
" PM @narendramodi said "na khaunga, na khane dunga", but then he made bribe-taker @SuvenduWB, the Leader of Opposition, " Banerjee stated.
" Mr. Adhikari's corrupt practices are known to the world but the CBI has turned a blind eye to
them," he said.
" As an MP, I believe in prioritizing people's needs over spending ₹1,500 crores on a new Parliament building, " Banerjee said.
" Let's not forget Bengal's ₹7,500 Cr. MGNREGS fund that has been blocked by @BJP4India. Our fight will cease only when people get their dues, " he commented.
Earlier, the Trinamool Congress termed the joining of Congress MLA from Sagardighi Bayron Biswas in the party as a progressive step forward.
" TMC's resolve to safeguard people's rights & fight against @BJP4India's injustice, has resonated with INC MLA from Sagardighi, Mr Bayron Biswas. Today, in the ongoing #JonoSanjogYatra, he joined the TMC family in the presence of Shri Abhishek Banerjee, " the party said.
Congress MLA from Sagardighi in Murshidabad district Bayron Biswas on Monday joined the Trinamool Congress during the ongoing Jono Sanjog Yatra in the presence of Banerjee.
" We wholeheartedly welcome him to the Trinamool Congress family, " the party said.
" To strengthen your resolve to fight against the divisive and discriminatory politics of BJP, you have chosen the right platform. Together, we will win, " it stated.
Biswas won from Sagardighi in the Assembly byelection months back.
" The real fight was Trinamool against @BJP4Bengal. In between, whom did the ISF-CPI(M)-INC alliance help? " asked Banerjee.
" INC leaders say one thing in Delhi but follow a different path in Bengal, which begs the question - Are they serious about fighting the @BJP4India? " the party asked.
