143 Covid 19 cases in Manipur

Imphal, Jun 6 (UNI) The total number of Covid 19 positive cases has increased to 143 while the number of active cases is 91 and the recovery rate is 36.36 per cent according to Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Additional Director & Spokesperson Health Department, Manipur.
Last night 11 persons (2 males and 9 females) were confirmed as COVID- 19 positive at VRDL JNIMS. Three females (aged 20, 22 and 24 yrs) were from Pherzawl district. Two males (aged 24 and 32 yrs) and 6 females (aged 19, 25,26, 26, 28 and 30 yrs) were from Churachandpur district. All of them were Mumbai returnees by train.

All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.

Today, 11 persons (5 females and 6 males) were discharged from RIMS after testing negative for COVID-19. Four of them were from Imphal West District, two each from Ukhrul and Thoubal District, one each from Bishnupur, Noney and Tamenglong District. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 52.
