BJP demands Rs 10 lakh compensation for those drowned in Latehar

Ranchi, Sep 18 (UNI) State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash has demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the next of kin of the seven girls who drowned while performing immersion of Karam tree branch in Sheregada village under Balumath Police Station area of Latehar district on Saturday.

He demanded that the state government should pay a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the family members of the deceased. He said that since it was a disaster like incident therefore the state government should announce the compensation.
