New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on the nation and its political community to respect women as he highlighted women power or 'Nari Shakti' in his address to the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort on 76th Independence Day Monday.
Hailing the role of women freedom fighters Rani Laxmibai, Jhalkaribai, Chennamma, Begum Hazrat Mahal among others and women's contribution to nation building, the Prime Minister said that women will make immense contribution to the development of the country in next 25 years, adding that respect for women is a must.
