Kolkata, Aug 26 (UNI) 26th August, 1920, marked the beginning of an era defining artist. He's none other than Samyomoy Bandyopadhyay, whose stage name Bhanu Bandopadhyay, became the starstruck talent in the field of acting since immemorial times of our enriched world of Bengali cinema.
Some of his brilliant masterpieces can be traced in his role in the films 'Jomaloye Jibonto Manush', 'Sare Chuyattor', 'Bhanu Goyenda Jahar Assistant', 'Asite Asiona', 'Bhanu Pelo Lottery' and 'Miss Priyambada'. To this day till date, his art has influenced many and charmed the world of cinema since the times of the golden reel era.
In the film 'Bhanu Pelo Lottery', the song " Putul Nebe Go Putul" has been lip synced by an actor, playbacked by Shyamal Mitra. It has always been a visual treat to the enriched culture of Indian Bengali Cinema.
