Sensex zooms 1108.76 points during week

Mumbai, Jul 25 (UNI) Extending its upward streak for the straight sixth week, the BSE Sensex jumped 1,108.76 points or 3 percent at 38,128.90 in week under review on positive global cues.
Global markets were buoyed by a slew of positive news on the coronavirus vaccine and fiscal stimulus fronts.
Reliance Industries performance also boosted investor sentiment.
The Nifry advanced 292.45 points or 2.68 percent to settle at 11,194.15.
BSE Mid-Cap rose 171.80 or 1.27 pc to settle at 13,702.55. BSE.Small-Cap gained 184.02 points or 1.44 pc to settle at 12,966.55.
On Monday, extending gains for the fourth straight session the Sensex rose 398.85 points to settle at 37,418.99. Nifty gained 120.50 points to settle at 11,022.20.
Key equity benchmarks ended with strong gains On Tuesday rising for the fifth straight session Sensex jumped 511.34 points to settle at 37,930.33. Nifty rose 140.05 points to settle at 11,162.25.
Domestic stocks ended lower after a volatile session on Wednesday the Sensex lost 58.81 points or to settle at 37,871.52. Nifty shed 29.65 points to settle at 11,132.60.
On Thursday the barometer index Sensex, rose 268.95 points to settle at 38,140.47. Nifty climbed 82.85 points to settle at 11,215.45.
On Friday the Sensex dropped 11.57 points to settle at 38,128.90. Nifty too lost 21.30 points to settle at 11,194.15. Sentiment was impacted by negative global cues amid rising coronavirus cases and ongoing US-China tension.
