Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Thursday slipped by 148.82 pts to close at 40,558.49 as selling was seen in IT, Bankex, Health Care and Auto stocks.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange too fell by 41.20 pts to close at 11,896.45.
The Sensex registered the days high and low at 40,721.57 and 40,309.05 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded the days high and low at 11,939.55 and 11,823.45 pts respectively.
