Wellington, Aug 11 (UNI) New Zealand's largest city Auckland will be under COVID-19 alert Level 3 from Wednesday for three days, while the rest of the country would be under Level 2 alert after four cases of community transmission were confirmed on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 lockdown from noon on Wednesday, and this will last for three days until midnight Friday.
Xinhua quoted Ardern saying that these three days will give the administration the time to assess the situation, gather information, make sure they has wide-spread contact tracing.
