Kolhapur, Sep 25 (UNI) A new highway connecting Pune to Bangalore will be built at estimated expenditure of Rs 40,000 crore, announced Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday.
Speaking at a ceremony organised for dedication of the new six-lane Pune-Bangalore national highway from Satara to Kagal and lay foundation of road development works in Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara districts, he said the work on the new highway would begin in next six months.
He added that the new national highway would be developed parallel to existing Pune-Bangalore national highway and assured that the new Pune-Bangalore national highway would not be submerged.
