Net Direct Tax collection crosses Rs 10.03L crore in FY17-18

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) During the last Financial Year 2017-18, Net Direct Tax collections have crossed Rs 10.03 lakh crore mark which is 18 per cent higher than the collections during the FY 2016-17:
The growth was the fastest in seven fiscal years.
Highlighting the 4 years of achievement, Finance Ministry in a tweet said, “During the last Financial Year 2017-18, Net Direct Tax collections have crossed Rs 10.03 lakh crore mark which is 18% higher than the collections during the FY 2016-17."
Last month, a finance ministry official had said the country's direct tax mop-up had exceeded the budget target.
