Nephew of 2008 Mumbai attack mastermind, 5 other LeT militant killed in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Nov 18 (UNI) A top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, believed to be nephew of the 2008 Mumbai attack mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, was killed by security forces in a fierce encounter on Saturday in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.
Besides Lakhvi’s nephew Owaid, five militants, including a top commander, and one Indian Air Force (IAF) Garud were killed in the encounter.
With the killing of Owaid, three relatives of two top militant outfit chiefs, based in Pakistan, have been killed by security forces since January this year in Kashmir valley.
