Nepal introduces visually impaired-friendly notes of Rs 1k

Kathmandu, Aug 15 (UNI) Nepal's Central Bank has introduced 1000-rupee currency notes in the market with a special feature which makes them easily identifiable by visually impaired people.
Xinhua quoted deputy governor at Nepal Rastra Bank Chinta Mani Siwakoti saying that these new notes are as per international standards and ensure that the visually impaired people identify these easily.
Siwakoti elaborated that the note has 'M' written on the lower right side, and the surface where the letter is written is raised so as to make it easy to identify through touch. 'M' denotes 1000 in Roman.
