NCP resorts 'Hallbol Andolan' in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Nov 27 (UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), workers led by senior party leader and Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde, on Monday resorted 'Hallabol Andolan' at Divisional Commissioner Office for various demands, including a total loan waiver.

Along with Mr Munde, other office bearers, farmers and workers of the party from across the district, gathered at the Kranthi Chowk in the city and marched to the Divisional Commissionrate.

Mr Munde was himself beating drums in Hallabol on the NDA and the Maharahstra government. Activist raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis government.

Talking to media persons, Mr Munde alleged that the BJP-led state government was anti-farmer and neglects the difficulties faced by state farmers, and they will teach a lesson in coming election if they are not addressed their demands and henceforth NCP would intensify their Hallabol agitation.

Later, they submitted a memorandum pertaining numbers of their demands to commissioner Dr Purushotam Bhapkar.

Their main demand was to waive total loans of farmers, on the line of Gujarat provide Rs 500 bonus per quintal to cotton growers in Maharashtra, declared MSP to all farm products with 50 per cent profit, provide difference between MSP and market rates amount to soyabean farmers in the state on the line of MP government, those
farmers were died due to the spraying pesticide in Vidarbha region should provide compensation of Rs10 lakh to each farmers next of kin among several others demands.

Those who participated in the morcha, were party district chief and Vaijapur MLA Bhausaheb Chikatgaonkar, City chief Kasinath Kokate, Manmohan Singh Oberoi, Surjit singh Khunger and Khaja Sarfuddin among others.
