nCoV: Bihar reports 19 deaths

Patna, Aug 8 (UNI) With 19 fresh casualties, the death toll due to COVID-19 on Saturday reached 419 in Bihar so far.
According to the health department sources, Patna reported 6 deaths, followed by Gaya and Vaishali 2 each and Araria, Aurangabad, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Katihar, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Supaul and East Champaran 1 each.
Of the 419 casualties, maximum deaths were reported from Patna where 77 people have lost their lives due to this infection so far, followed by Bhagalpur with 34, Gaya 28, Rohtas 23, Nalanda 21, Munger 19, Muzaffarpur, Bhojpur and East Champaran 15 each, Vaishali 13, Samastipur and Saran 12 each, Begusarai 11 each, Darbhanga, Nawada and West Champaran 10 each, Siwan , Araria and Kaimur 8 each, Khagaria, Aurangabad and Jehanabad 6 each, Jamui, and Sitamarhi 5 each, Buxar, Kishanganj, Lakhisarai, Madhepura and Purnea 4 each, Arwal, Banka Supaul and Katihar 3 each, Madhubani, and Sheikhpura 2 each and Gopalganj, Saharsa, and Sheohar 1 each.

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Scorching heat appears to have affected polling percentage during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar, as only 58.58 percent of the electorate exercised their franchise compared to 62.92 percent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which is 4.34 percent less this year.
