NC stages protest outside CM residence in Srinagar against 'arrest spree'

Srinagar, Oct 26 (UNI) Main opposition National Conference (NC) today held a demonstration outside the residence of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in Gupkar, against the alleged arrest spree and ransacking of private property by security forces in Kashmir valley.
Shouting anti-government and anti-PDP slogans, the protestors took to the street at Nawa-i-Subah headquarters and marched towards the CM’s Fairview residence.
The slogan shouting protestors, led by NC General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Muhammad Sagar, demanding immediate release of all the youth arrested during the unrest and an end to the arrest spree in the valley, where more than 10,000 alleged stone-pelters and separatist leaders have been arrested since July 9.
