Naveen sanctions Rs 5 lakh ex gratia for six workers

Bhubaneswar, June 7 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 5 lakh ex gratia to the next kin of six labourers run over by a reserve rake near Jajpur Keonjhar Road station.
Patnaik expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved family members and directed proper treatment to those injured in the accident.
East Coast Railway sources said some workers engaged by a contractor had taken shelter under the stabled rake following a nor wester when the rake rolled on due to heavy wind.
