Nationwide bandh evokes good response in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Sep 10 (UNI) The nationwide dawn-to-dusk bandh call given by various organisations and opposition parties was near total in Karnataka with normal life thrown out of gear across the districts.
With ruling coalition Janata Dal (S) and Congress also supporting the bandh call, the entire state was shut off. Almost all business establishments were closed and public transport services, including Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus service, came to a grinding halt.
However, essential services like milk and newspaper supply, hospitals, pharma outlets, vegetable and fruit stalls, that are excluded from the bandh call was not affected.
