Nations to consider new sanctions on N. Korea

Vancouver, Jan 17 (UNI) Foreign ministers of 20 countries at a meeting here agreed to consider tougher sanctions to press North Korea to give up its nuclear and ballistic missile programme.
In a joint statement after a day-long meeting on Tuesday, they agreed "to consider and take steps to impose unilateral sanctions and further diplomatic actions that go beyond those required by UN Security Council resolutions."
The UNSC has adopted 10 separate resolutions imposing sanctions in response to North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile tests.
