National science day celebrated at PU

Puducherry, Feb 28 (UNI) Pondicherry University (PU) along with Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Pondicherry Chapter, and Pondicherry Science Forum (PSF) on Thursday celebrated National Science day at the Pondicherry University.
According to a University statement, 300 students from 25 schools and students from Ananda Rangapillai Government Special School for differently-abled Children, Pillaichavady, Puducherry and Sathya Special School, Pondicherry, participated in this event.
PU vice-chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh who inaugurated the event appreciated the school children for active participation in such science activities. He advised the school children to take boiled water to retain the mineral contents. He also advised the students to assist their parents to prepare soaps and perfumes from flower petals. He informed that science is very much required for leading a healthy life. He also encouraged the students to be a good observer to be successful in Science.
