Ambassa (Tripura), Oct 7 (UNI) The parts of the NH 8 stretched over 120 kms from entrance of the state Churaibari up to Ambassa in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai turned pathetic for plying which people demanded to be maintained early here.
The parts of NH 8 is one of the most significant roads in the state as it is the only connecting roadway of Tripura with the rest of the country through Assam. Since last one year, the road turned pathetic. Big craters, ditches, pot holes erupted on the road almost everywhere. When the rain water fills the holes it turns more dangerous.
A driver of a goods carrier identified as Ramesh Singh remarked, "Plying on the road has become very much risky and dangerous. You cannot say what is under water for you. Our vehicles often sustain heavy damage."
