Naqvi launches Hindi website of Minority Affairs Ministry
New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) The information about the Ministry of Minority Affairs can be accessed online in Hindi too as its new website in the language was launched here today by Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. ''The number of people who want the information in Hindi is growing very large, and it was in view of this, that we took the decision to launch the website in Hindi too,'' Mr Naqvi said after click opening the website. Alongwith the Hindi website, the Minister also launched an updated and revamped English website of the Ministry and said it was very user friendly and provided easy navigation. The website was also adaptive to other devices such as iPads and mobiles. Mr Naqvi said the Minority Affairs Ministry was committed to serving the people through all means which also include use of technology, social media and others. ''This is a part of our efforts to reach out to the common man at large scale so that fruits of development reach the last person of the society directly in a transparent manner,'' he said, adding that it would add new features from time to time based on feedback and suggestions from the users. The Ministry has also been planning a mobile app for scholarships to provide an easier platform to the students to apply through their mobile phones. Mr Naqvi said the new revamped website of the Ministry had details of various welfare schemes, aimed at socio-economic-educational empowerment of the Minority communities. Photo gallery, video gallery, press releases, newspaper releases are the added features of this website. Website has links with social media sites- Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Feedback mechanism is available in the website through which citizen may give their feedback about the Ministry’s schemes/programmes directly. The website has also links to other prominent sites like MyGov, PM-India, National Portal, GoI Web Directory, PMNRF, PG Portal, National Scholarship Portal etc for easy navigation.
