Nagaland today detects 51 new COVID-19 positive cases

Kohima, Sep 18 (UNI) Nagaland today registered 51 positive cases of COVID-19 out of 544 samples tested in the country and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 5,357.

Nagaland Principal Secretary for Home Abhijit Sinha in a release informed that of the total 51 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected as 23 cases in Kohima, 20 cases in Dimapur, 4 cases in Mokokchung, 2 cases in Mon, 1 in Peren and 1 case in Tuensang. Out of the 5,357 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 4,108. The active cases are 1,213 and there have been 10 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,197 active cases are asymptomatic, 14 active cases are mild and 2 active cases are moderate. Further, out of the 5,357 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: 2,501 cases of Armed Forces or Police, 1,430 cases of Returnees, 323 cases of Frontline Workers and 1,103 cases of Traced Contacts.
