Nagaland body writes for inclusion of PwD in NPSC

Kohima Apr 18 (UNI) Ms. Diethono Nakhro of the Disabilities & National Disability Network has written to the Nagaland Information Technology & Communication Department and the Nagaland Public Service Commission to ensure web accessibility and digital inclusion of People with Disabilities in Nagaland.

In a letter to the Commissioner and Secretary, Information Technology & Communication, the disability rights activist said there is an urgent need for the State Government to ensure accessibility of websites and documents to work towards achieving the vision of Accessible India (Sugamya Bharat) Campaign. Under the campaign, the Government has a target to make 50 per cent of all Government websites accessible at the centre and the states by 2019. 50 per cent of the documents published online also need to be made accessible.
