NAD demands DU East, West campus

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) National Akali Dal demands admission for every child in colleges of Delhi and targeted Centre and city government for not providing seats to the students.
NAD president Paramjit Singh Pamma on Sunday said every year Delhi University and its affiliated colleges take application for one lakh and 40 thousand students. Around one lakh students who apply are from Delhi and seats pertaining are mere 56000. In such a situation, 80000 students cannot be admitted due to lack of seats.
Mr Pamma said on one hand the government wants education for all but on the contrary students are not getting admission. Delhi has only two campuses—North & South. To get over the increasing population of Delhi and migrated students from other states East and West campus should be established so that more and more students could be admitted.
