Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, June 6 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday announced that the Mumbai-Sindhudurg expressway would be constructed on the line of transformative Samruddhi expressway project.
Shinde, who was addressing a function of "Shasan Aaplya Dari" (goverment at your doorstep), which was the fourth such programme in the state, at Savantwadi, of Sindhudurg district, said the construction of new expressway will be undertaken on the line of Samruddhi expressway (Nagpur-Mumbai expressway) project to ensure rapid progress and development in the Kokan area.Shinde, while highlighting the government's achievements in different sectors, said Rs 110 crores would be allocated for various development works in Savantwadi.
He expressed his gratitude to prime minister Narendra Modi for approving his government's proposals and releasing hundred percent funds. He announced that the Chipri airport will named after Barrister Nath Pai as a tribute to him.
