Mumbai Indians beat Kings XI Punjab by 25 runs for vital win

Mohali, Apr 25 (UNI) Mumbai Indians registered an important 25-run triumph against Kings XI Punjab in the night match of the Indian Premier League at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium today. After posting 189 for 6, Mumbai Indian restricted Kings XI Punjab to 164 for 7.
Kings XI Punjab's main scorers were Shane Marsh (45), Glenn Maxwell (56), David Miller (30 not out) and Murali Vijay (19). For Mumbai Indians, Jasprit Bumrah (3 for 26), Tim Southee (2 for 28), Mitchell McClenaghan (2 for 32) contained the Kings XI batsmen.
Required to score 190 runs in 20 overs, Kings XI Punjab lost opener Murali Vijay and Manan Vohra with scorecard reading 2 for 32, Shane Marsh, coming at number 3 and Glenn Maxwell, tried to salvage the early demange. They kept on the scoreboard moving and were associated for an 89-run third wicket partnership. As the total reached 121, Marsh was caught by Rayudu at deep square leg of the bowling of Tim Southee. His fine knock of 45 from 34 deliveries contained three fours and one six.
