MSSRF launches Women Connect Programme, distribute tabs for TN fisherwomen

Chennai, Aug 8 (UNI) The MS Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) on Tuesday launched a Women Connect Programme and distributed tabs for the fisherwomen of Tamil Nadu.
About 6,000 fisherwomen from 100 coastal villages will benefit from the programme, a release from MSSRF said.
Five fisherwomen from the coastal districts of Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore and Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu, and Karaikal in Puducherry, received tabs from MSSRF Chairperson Dr Soumya Swaminathan during the launch of the Women Connect Challenge programme.
