Mother and son murdered over land dispute in Palamu

Daltonganj, Oct 14 (UNI) A mother and her son were killed on Thursday following a land dispute in Shilda Khurd village under Naudiha Bazaar Police Station area of the Palamu district.
Post the incident the culprits surrendered before the police. SDPO Chattarpur Ajay Kumar said that Kalawati Devi (60) and her son Prabhu Singh (38) were killed by their own relatives. Binod Singh and Baban Singh are the culprits who also happen to be cousins of Prabhu Singh executed the crime and have been arrested by the police.
Both the bodies have been sent for postmortem to MMCH while the axe used in the incident has been also seized. The SDPO said that apart from land dispute, alleged practice of witchcraft was also involved in the incident.
