Shillong, Jan 23 (UNI) Four new COVID 19 cases were detected on Saturday, while 10 recoveries from the viral infection were also registered in Meghalaya on Saturday, health officials said.

Meghalaya CM assures of action against illegal mining

Shillong, Jan 23 (UNI) In the wake of the death of six miners in an illegal coal mine in Meghalaya the East Jaintia Hills district, Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma on Saturday said that there are laws in place for anybody who does illegal mining, and the MMDR Act (Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act) is “very strong”.

Nagaland detects 4 new COVID-19 positive cases

Kohima, Jan 23 (UNI) Nagaland today detected four new COVID-19 positive case today; with these the total number of positive cases remained in the State 12070

Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister Pangnyu Phom in his regular tweet informed that all the four new COVID-19 positive cases were detected three cases in Dimapur and one case in Mokokchung. He also informed that four positive patients have recovered from Dimapur.

Meghalaya: Pro-ILP groups upset with Amit Shah for not giving time
