Militant nabbed with arms and ammunition

Imphal, Sep 21 (UNI : Manipur police apprehended an alleged cadre of PREPAK (Pro) here today with arms and ammunition .
SP, Imphal West, Dr Ibomcha said the man, identified as Naoroibam Joyshanker , joined the group in 2009 and obtained a three-month basic training in Myanmar. From him an IED, hand grenade, air gun rifle, four PEK cakes, three wireless circuits, one remote control device, three detonators, 15 batteries and equipment used in assembling IEDs were recovered .
Police said last night there was a bomb attack at Imphal East . A manhunt was carried out and the man was nabbed. He revealed that he was involved in an IED attack at the gate of the Chief Minister’s bungalow in October 2016 and an attack at a restaurant in Imphal’s Mantripukhri
