Meghalaya’s recovery rate jumps to 95.95 per cent

Shillong, Sep 26 (UNI) The recovery rate in Meghalaya increased to 95.95 per cent on Sunday, as 218 patients have recovered from the contagion surged the number of recoveries to 77,520, health officials said.
On the other hand, the positivity rate has slipped down to 2.32 per cent on Sunday from 2.41 per cent on Saturday with only 151 new COVID-19 cases were detected, adding the number of active cases to 1,877 in the State, which has registered 80,789 total confirmed cases so far.
Meanwhile, the fatality continues to stand at 1.72 per cent for the third consecutive day on Sunday, even as one person in the West Jaintia Hills district succumbed to the viral infection, mounting the number of fatalities up to 1,392.
