Meghalaya exporters want to resume trade with Bangladesh

Shillong, Jun 27 (UNI) The Meghalaya International Exporters Chamber of Commerce (MIECC) on Sunday urged the Conrad Sangma-led government to reopen of international trade with Bangladesh.
In a statement issued here, the MIECC said that the reopening of the international trade to enable the people to continue to earn their livelihood.
“People depending on import-export between the two neighbouring countries, right from the daily wage labourers, drivers and billing staff etc who are facing insurmountable crisis and are struggling to manage their livelihood as income generation is curbed for the past two months due to the suspension of the formal trade,” the statement stated.

AFS kills 919 pigs in Mizoram this year
