New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) Owner of the famous spice company MDH Masala Dharampal Gulati passed away Thursday morning at a city hospital. He was 97.
According to sources, Gulati, who was undergoing post Covid-19 treatment at Mata Chanan Devi hospital for the last three weeks, suffered a cardiac arrest and breathed his last at 0530 hrs.
He was born on March 27, 1923 in Sialkot, now Pakistan.
After partition, he came to India along with his family, with just Rs 1500 in his pocket and took up the job of a tangewala(horse-cart puller) before venturing into spice business.
His business flourished and the company today has 18 factories across India and Dubai.
