Mastermind of Agartala shoot-out case arrested

Agartala, Jun 22 (UNI) Master-mind of broad daylight shoot- out incident at Chandrapur area of Agartala early this week and another king pin of cannabis smuggling racket were arrested along with another suspected assailant last evening.
Police also seized a motor-bike and a maruti 800 car, which were used during shoot out incident on June 17 last, in which one Debabrata Das Gupta of Baldakhal area under East Agartala police station, allegedly involved in smuggling Cannabis sustained bullet injuries.
According to police, as many as seven accused persons, including three youths of Bihar and a police constable, who were directly involved in the shoot-out incident and running the racket of Cannabis smuggling, were arrested. Many more arrests would be made in Cannabis smuggling activities and running inter-state criminal gang, police claimed.
