Aurangabad, Jan 28 (UNI) The eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported
205 fresh cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, the health authorities informed on Wednesday.
The region also recorded four deaths due to the coronavirus during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region,Aurangabad district recorded 32 cases and two deaths, followed by Nanded which had 48 cases and single death ,Jalna had 23 cases and single death, Beed had 45 cases , Latur had 35 cases ,Parbhani had ten cases ,Osmanabad each had nine fresh cases and Hingoli had three cases .
As per official data, 1,842 more corona cases and 32 deaths were reported from across the state during the past 24 hours, taking the state's cumulative tally to 20,15,524.
Meanwhile, 2,556 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals during the same period across the state, taking the total number of recoveries so far in Maharashtra to 19,20,006.
With this, the state's recovery rate has now risen to 95.26 percent and the death rate stands at 2.52 per cent.
According to the health officials, so far a total of 50,894 patients have succumbed to the disease in the state and 43,393 active patients were under treatment in the state .
