Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 6 (UNI) The region of Marathwada which comprising eight districts still under the shadow of deadly novel coronavirus as the region's COVID-19 tally reached 9202, including 398 casualties, on Sunday.
During the last 24 hours, total 312 positive cases, including 21 fatalities, were reported in the region, according to the data complied from all the district headquarters.
So far, 9202 total positive patients were reported in region including 398 fatalities. On a positive front, 4996 were cured and discharged.
At present, 3815 are active corona patients and under treatment across the various hospitals and Covid centre in the region.
Aurangabad District as divisional headquarter has been one of the worst affected district in the region in which total 6730 positive patients were reported, including 310 fatalities while total 3374 were cured and 3046 are active patients, followed by Jalna district with 719 total patients, 25 deaths and 295 active patients, 401 cured, Latur district 452 positive patients, including 23 fatalities and 247 cured and 189 active patients, Nanded 437 patients, including 20 fatalities 321 cured and 96 active patients ,Osmanabad 288 cases with 12 deaths 191 cured and 83 active patients,Beed 137 cases with four deaths 113 cured and 21 active patients, Hingoli 296 patients including 251 cured and 45 active patients and Parbhani 143 patients including four fatalities and 98 cured and 40 active, the data showed.
Curfew has been imposed in Jalna from Sunday night for the next 10 days to curb the spread of the virus, sources said.
While night curfew in Aurangabad and total curfew in Walunj MiDC areas in Aurangabad, Parli and Beed district have also been imposed to prevent further spread of corona, the sources added.
