Maoist nabbed in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Apr 30 (UNI) A rebel carrying a reward of Rs two lakh was among two placed under arrest in Dantewada District’s Barsoor weekly market following a tip-off.

“One of the accused is the Indravati Area Committee’s Platoon 16 Member Baglu Alami (30) who hails from Narayanpur District and was carrying the purse. Associated with extremism since 2013, he lived in Koparam village, organised meetings, put up banners and posters besides arranging for food.Alami stands charged with murder, attempt to murder, triggering landmine explosions, opening fire on police, abduction, loot, arson and damaging roads,” Superintendent of Police K Kashyap said today.
