Imphal, July 11 (UNI) Manipur Health and IPR Minister Dr S. Ranjn Singh said accurate population data is necessary for the formulation of policies.
He was speaking on the occasion of the World Population Day observation held here on Monday.
Ranjan said the size of the population and its age groups play an important role in deciding our future. Sustainable development will depend on the existing pattern of demography. There is variation in population concentration and its distribution from state to state, community to community and also country to country, he added.
