Mamata says country under " Super Emergency" under Modi, calls BJP govt's ouster

Kolkata, Jan 19 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today claimed that the country was going through " Super Emergency" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance, worst than the Indira Gandhi's time in mid 70s, and called for BJP government's ouster in 2019 Parliament elections.
Ms Banerjee also called Modi government 's ways "as good as Fascism".
“Haven’t seen anyone run a country in a such a fascist manner,” said Mamata Banerjee, and ended her speech with the slogan “BJP hatao, desh bachao and Jai Hindh, Vande mataram”.
She said the Modi government was running on expiry date and time has come to change the government as the people's mind was already set.
"The people have already made up their minds, 'acche din' (good days) are not going to come back for BJP,” she added and said the United India leaders, who assembled here at the Brigade Parade ground must take back the message that BJP's were numbered.
She said the forum aimed to defeat the BJP first, and it would decide the Prime Minister later. She said," We would defeat the BJP first.
"We have lots of leaders, workers and organisers and it is not BJP's headache who we would choose at the prime minister, as they have only lone leader with Mr Modi."
After the win, all the leader would again assemble here to celebrate the victory, Ms Banerjee said.
Ms Banerjee said some 22/24 parties had assembled to take part in the mega rally and the leaders were committed to fight unitedly against the BJP.
The TMC supremo said the Modi government harassed and arrested many leaders like Laloo Prasad, Sonia Gandhi and herself, using the central agencies and did not show any courtesy. " Why should we spare the BJP," she said indicating an all out attack against the BJP.
More than 20 national leaders, including former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, former Union ministers Yashwant Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha and Arun Shourie, three chief ministers Arvind Kejriwal,
Chandrababu Naidu and H D Kumaraswamy, and former chief ministers Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Akhilesh Yadav and Gegong Apang addressed the meeting.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi's message gave the rally a miss, but showed their support by deputing senior party functionary and leader of the party in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, who read out their message at the rally.
