Major drug haul in Hyderabad: about 2 tonnes of ganja worth over Rs 3 cr seized by NCB ; 4 held

Hyderabad, Jun 21 (UNI) In a major drug haul, ganja worth about Rs 3 crore was seized from a truck by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at Pedda Amberpet toll Plaza, outskirts of the city and arrested four persons from Osmanabad District of Maharashtra.
Following an intelligence tip-off, NCB teams from Hyderabad Sub-Zone and Bangalore Zonal Unit intercepted a truck on Sunday and seized more than 2000 kilos of Ganja, NCB Bangalore zonal Director Mr.Amit Ghawate said in a release here Monday.
The Ganja was concealed in between loads of raw cashew nut shells in 1080 packets, each of these packets weighing approximately 2kg.
