Maharashtra ranks top in foreign investments: Fadnavis

Pune, Sep 15 (UNI) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday claimed that Maharashtra has become the number one state in country by attracting a major chunk of foreign investments coming here and that in turn, helped to generate employment for the youths.
Addressing a news conference here before start of third phase of his "Janadesh Yatra" from Pune to highlight achievements of the BJP-led state government in last five years and also to garner support from the people, he said the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented various schemes for poor, women and farmers of the country and noted that Maharashtra has been leading in development in last five years as compared to other states in country.
He further said that the rate of conversion of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) into actual investments in Maharashtra was 65 per cent compared to other states in the country and claimed that the BJP-led state government has started many projects which were kept on hold by the previous government.
