Mahagathbandhan inches towards Majority mark with lead on 41 seat, BJP ahead on 30 seats

Ranchi, Dec 23 (UNI) The Mahagathbandhan comprising the JMM, Congress and RJD are inching towards the majority figure of 41 in the race to the throne for Jharkhand while the BJP was leading on just 30.
As per the trends available so far the Mahagathbandhan was ahead on 41 seats with JMM leading on 24 seats, Congress 12 and RJD on 5 seats.
Among others the AJSU party was leading on 3 seats, while the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) was ahead on 3 seats and others were leading on 4 seats. Chief Minister Raghubar Das was ahead in his home constituency of Jamshedpur East against his nearest rival Saryu Rai who is contesting as an independent.
As far as the prominent candidates are concerned JMM's acting president and Leader of Opposition Hemant Soren was trailing in Dumka but was leading in Barhet seat. On the other hand AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahto was leading in Silli. State BJP president Laxman Giluwa was trailing in Chakardharpur (ST).
Jharkhand Congress Rameshwar Oraon was leading in Lohardaga while Leader of Legislature wing of Congress Aalamgir Aalam was trailing in Pakur.
In the previous Assembly Elections of 2014 BJP had won 37 seats, AJSU 5 seats, JMM 19 seats, JVM-P 8 seats, Congress 6 seats and Others 6 seats.
