Mah: BJP seeks Sena's support on CAB

Nashik, Dec 14 (UNI) Stating that the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 is in the interest of the nation, BJP on Saturday urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to accept this bill for the benefit of the country, Speaking to media persons, BJP leader Ashish Shelar said the saffron party is ready to compromise with the Sena to save the Government.
Stating that Shiv Sena supported the Bill in the Lok Sabha and ran away in the Rajya Sabha, when the same was presented in the House of Elders, Mr Shelar said the implementation of the Bill is essential for the country.
Shiv Sena has government in Maharashtra with Congress and NCP, so it should not compromise to save government in the state. BJP was ready to compromise with the Shiv Sena for the benefit of nationalism, he added.
The BJP leader further said that in the last Assembly elections, the party had lost 12 seats in North Maharashtra.
''The party gave me the responsibility to make report on why BJP faced defeat in North Maharashtra,'' he said.
Mr Shelar attacked the Congress on it's 'Bharat Bachav' andolan. Congress' role is to protest the intruders, who have infiltrated India, he alleged.

Nashik records the largest number of corona recoveries

Nashik, Aug 7 (UNI) The Nashik district on Friday witnessed the biggest recovery of COVID-19 cases till date.
On Friday 681 cases people recovered and were discharged from hospitals in the district. This is for the first time that so many cases recovered and discharged in a single day in the district. On the other hand 503 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the district while 7 people succumbed to COVID-19 on Friday.
