Mah: Aurangabad registers 316 new COVID cases, 9 deaths

Aurangabad, Dec 1 (UNI) The eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 316 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, health authorities said on Tuesday.
The region also witnessed nine more deaths due to covid in the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts in the region, Aurangabad was the worst affected with 78 fresh cases and 3 deaths, followed by Jalna with 68 new cases and 2 deaths, Parbhani 30 cases and two deaths, Osmanabad 22 cases and two deaths,
Beed 45 cases, Latur 39 cases, Nanded 28 cases and Hingoli 6 cases.
Meanwhile, 3,837 more corona cases and 80 deaths were reported across the state, taking the tally in the state to 18,23,896.
Meanwhile, 4,196 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 16,85,122 in the state so far.
With this recovery rate has now gone up to 92.39 per cent and the death rate is at 2.59 per cent.
According to the health officials, so far 47,088 patients have succumbed to the disease in the state and 90,557 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
