M Sivasankar arrested

Kochi, Oct 28 (UNI) Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday arrested M Sivasankar, former principal secretary to Kerala chief minister, after seven hours of questioning in connection with the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case.
The IAS official was taken into custody minutes after Justice Ashok Menon of Kerala High Court rejected his anticipatory bail pleas this morning.
The ED officials took him to the custody from a private Ayurvedic hospital at Vanchiyoor in Thiruvananthapuram where the IAS official was undergoing treatment for back pain for the last few days.
