Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 3 2016 4:41PM Lt.Guv needs to ensure ban of single digit lottery sale in Pondy: BJPPuducherry, June 3 (UNI): Alleging that the sale of single-digit lottery, which was banned, continues with political support here, the Puducherry unit of the Bharathiya Janata Party today urged Lt.Governor Kiren Bedi to take action against officials, who failed to curb the sale of such lottery tickets. In a statement here today, BJP state-president V Saminathan said the previous governments failed to initiate any steps to prevent the sale of such lottery.Not only, lottery, but also the sale of Panmasaala, Ganja and Gutka, among others, he charged. Mr Saminathan also alleged that food adulteration is happening here with coloured chemicals being used in food items, leading to the consumers affected with kidney problems and cancers.
