Liberate marginalised sector from financial burden & losses suffered due to Covid pandemic, collapse of economy: Kamat

Panaji, Nov 28 (UNI) Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Saturday asked the state government to liberate marginalised sector from huge financial burden and losses suffured due to outbreak of Covid pandemic and collapse of economy.
In a statement, Mr Kamat said,''It is important that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant first releases Rs 100 crores as Economic Revival Package to liberate the marginalized sector from the huge financial burden and losses suffered by them due to outbreak of Covid Pandemic and collapse of economy. The BJP Government has pushed the State into complete bankruptcy and there is financial emergency in the State.''
Stating that the government was on a borrowing spree with almost Rs 100 crore borrowed every week, he said, ''The attitude of the Government goes with the famous Konkani saying 'Rin Kadun Fest Karop'.''
