LG, Maliwal condole Sheila Dikshit's demise

New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal on Saturday condoled the demise of three-time Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the LG said,'Deeply saddened to hear of the demise of Smt Sheila Dikshit ji, former Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi. She was an able administrator, visionary leader and a gracious person. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.'

Ms Maliwal said,'Just learnt about the demise of Delhi’s Ex Chief Minister Shiela Dixit ji. May her soul always rest in peace. Condolences to her friends and family members.'

A three time Chief Minister of Delhi and senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit passed away at the age of 81.

Dikshit, who was appointed president of the Delhi Congress in January after Ajay Maken stepped down citing health issues, died in Escorts hospital in Delhi.
